Allison Black has been teaching Pilates since 2004.  She moved to New York City in the Fall of 2008 to study under the master Pilates instructors at True Pilates New York.  In the Spring of 2009 Allison earned her Romana's Pilates Certification, which included over 600 hours of observation, practice, seminars, as well as practical and written tests.  Allison also holds a Personal Trainer certification from the National Academy of Spots and Medicine, and is CPR certified through the American Heart Association.  As a former gymnast and athlete, her entire life has been dedicated to challenging the body and mind.  Her motto is "proper technique to build functional strength."
